Is Five Steps Skilled Teach Kids in the Kitchen


Cooking is a life skill that must be taught.
Many parents who keep their children out of the kitchen because it considers the area was too dangerous for them. Though cooking is a life skill that must be taught to children as early as possible.
If you do not know how to get started, here are the steps to teach your baby to cook based on age can you start from the age of two years.
Excerpted from the pages of The Asian Parent, you also need to be aware that some children may be more focused than other children, so do not be too hasty, and know when to trust and let go of their own.
Make them comfortable with kitchen (ages 2-3 years)
For children who are still very small, you have to watch very closely. Make them know the kitchen by giving them small tasks like putting food on the table (avoid glass plate), stirring the food or in drink light, a squeeze of lemon and so on.
Ranging from simple (ages 4-5 years)
At this age, children should be able mean food is as simple as making the cereal itself or spread jam on bread. Teach them how to pour milk or juice from a pitcher or cardboard. However, make sure it is not too heavy for them. If spilled, leave it alone because it could happen. Teach them to clean it up as well.
Gradually wake skills (ages 6-7 years)
At this stage, the fine motor skills of children already quite established, so you can teach them how to use a knife safely. You can start with a soft material such as bananas and avocados then increased by the use of potatoes, onions, and cucumber. You can also ask them to help you peel potatoes, decorating a dinner plate, or grate the cheese.
Teach safety (ages 8-9 years)
As you assess your baby is ready to use the stove, make sure to always supervise them closely and give an understanding of the dangers. If you feel they are not quite ready, you can start using the toaster oven. Children who are old enough can also help you to read the recipe when you prepare dishes.
Exempt (ages 10-12 years)
When your baby has mastered the basic skills in the kitchen and confident in their abilities, you can let them prepare their own food. Encourage them by letting them choose foods that wish to set up, but ask them to prepare healthy dishes yet practical. You can supervise from a distance, so you can keep reminding the rules in the kitchen, such as washing hands after treating chicken.
For the record, the kitchen is full of dangerous objects for children. So make sure you keep an eye on the tight, but do not also make them anxious or they will lose the spirit. We recommend that you do not teach them when you are in a hurry to prepare food. Pick a weekend when you have a lot of free time so you can be more relaxed.
